15Drink waters out of thine own cistern, and running waters out of thine own well. — Proverbs 5:15 (KJV)
Now that you have made the decision to lose weight, all is smooth sailing. Well, almost. Like Super Mario from Super Mario Bros, you may face slight obstacles that you must jump over, break through or slide under, but the good news is they are mostly in your mind. We’ll list them and discard them, here we go!
1. The exception that makes you want to forget about the rule.
There is that one champion in every field of life that defies expectations. The chances are you are not them! The overweight baseball hitter who barely has to run after the home run, he will only make your batting average look worse. Don’t be like Charlie Brown. Think!
2. The expectations of friendly people.
Concepts and goals such as weight loss mean different things to different people. To some it may mean having to talk about it all the time. If you are Super Mario running away from killer potatoes, you don’t stop to calculate the calories.
3. The price of healthy food.
Let’s face it, healthy food can be expensive if you’re eating out or want to grab the most easy-to-cook food at the supermarket. Therefore it is wise to keep a collection of canned tuna and sauerkraut in the kitchen. If all else fails, fast for a while!
8Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. — Philippians 4:8 (KJV)
God bless you, Dear Reader.
